Immerse yourself in the world of color that is Trask Family Farms Sunflower Maze. Experience the ten acre sunflower maze. The largest sunflower maze in North Carolina with half a million sunflowers! The maze will be open for two to three weeks starting June the 7th.
Find your way through the maze and pick a beautiful bouquet of flowers at the same time. Don’t forget to play the sunflower maze games like bee waggle. Learn how bees dance to communicate in order to bring back nectar from the flower field to the hive. You can also try to figure out the answers to sunflower maze trivia boards. If you solve one or both games, claim your prize inside the store. This is a perfect opportunity for photography, professional or personal. Please see our photography page for details. Come out for the Trask Family Farms annual sunflower festival. The sunflower festival will be held on June the 14th and 15th. Buy your tickets online or at the gate. Craft vendors, live music, hayrides, fields of sunflowers, wildflowers, and more will be there for the festival!
The weather can be a little unpredictable. If it has rained recently before your visit, our grounds may be a bit muddy. If this is the case, bring appropriate boots and clothing for muddy terrain. Please check the forecast before heading out and plan your gear accordingly. We do not offer refunds but we can exchange your ticket for another day. It is your responsibility to watch the weather but we will try our best to accommodate.

Get Lost in a Sea of Sunflowers
Wandering through a sunflower maze is like stepping into a golden dream—towering blooms surround you on all sides, their sunny faces turning toward the sky. As you wind your way through the twisting paths, the gentle rustle of leaves and the soft hum of bees create a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. It’s a joyful, sun-soaked adventure perfect for families, photos, and a little escape into nature.
Sunflower maze policies and recommendations
We want your visit to be incredible! The sunflower maze is at the mercy of Mother Nature, so conditions may vary. The paths could be muddy or dusty, and the sun might make it feel hot and humid. We recommend bringing a bottle of water (or purchasing one at the Farm Store) and wearing sun protection. Be sure to check the weather forecast before your visit. If severe weather occurs, we will close the maze for safety. Since this is a farm field, we suggest wearing closed-toe shoes. If you’re allergic to bee stings or insects, please take extra care, as there will be many pollinators around when the sunflowers are in bloom. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. As much as we love animals, pets (except certified service animals) are not allowed on the farm, so please leave your furry friends at home. Sunflowers have a brief blooming window of just 2 to 3 weeks—don’t miss out! We can’t wait to welcome you to the Farm. Professional photography sessions are available for a $50 fee. Please visit the front desk to arrange payment upon arrival.

Take on the challenge of our corn maze, admire local wildflowers, and enjoy a scenic hay ride around the property.
